Microbiomes4Soy Joins the MicrobiomeSupport Association!

Microbiomes4Soy is a member of the MicrobiomeSupport Association, continuing our commitment to advancing microbiome science for sustainable food systems and public health.

Founded in November 2023 as a follow-up to the Horizon 2020 Coordination and Support project, the MicrobiomeSupport Association aims to bridge the gap between research and real-world applications. The Association’s statutes and governance were formalised at the first Food System Microbiomes Conference in May 2024, setting the stage for a collaborative effort toward sustainable food production, One Health, and food security.

Dr. Angela Sessitsch (AIT), coordinator of the Microbiomes4Soy project, is the President of the MicrobiomeSupport Association. Our membership in this association aligns with our mission at Microbiomes4Soy. The Association is dedicated to:

  • Supporting the transition from R&D to practical implementation in microbiome science.
  • Driving the development of a future-proof food system that ensures sustainability and resilience.
  • Promoting human well-being and One Health, which recognizes the interconnectedness of people, animals, and ecosystems.

We look forward to contributing to this association’s goals and participating in joint initiatives that will help shape the future of sustainable food systems!
