Microbiomes4Soy proudly participates in Microbes4SustainableFoods (M4SF), a collaborative cluster of EU-funded projects working toward healthier food systems and sustainable agriculture. Together, the M4SF members focus on the role of microbiomes throughout food value chains, supporting human and environmental well-being.
In October 2024, Microbiomes4Soy joined the cluster as an associated member to further the cluster’s mission to advance sustainable food systems.
Objectives of the M4SF Cluster:
- Unveiling health benefits of fermented foods: Exploring the role of microbiomes in enhancing human gut health and developing innovative fermented foods.
- Promoting environmental and human well-being: Strengthening sustainability in food systems while supporting public health.
- Enhancing microbial food innovation: Positioning Europe as a leader in the production of diverse microbial foods rooted in local food systems and regional diversity.
- Unlocking the potential of wheat microbiomes: Utilising soil-plant microbiome interactions to improve crop sustainability and foster a circular economy.
Other members of the M4SF cluster include the following projects: DOMINO, TRIBIOME, WHEATBIOME, HEALTHFERM, PIMENTO Cost Action, and MICROBE.
